About the Group
Group Psychotherapy Consultation Online Group
This biweekly group provides support and training for group therapists who want to:
- build confidence as group leaders
- deepen understanding of group dynamics and processes
- expand therapy leadership skills
- manage group boundaries and resistances more effectively
- understand and utilize their own countertransference, biases and blind spots
- get supervision hours for CGP certification
- market groups with more confidence
- enliven their groups!
The group environment is warm, open, supportive, and challenging.
About the Facilitators
Annie Weiss, LICSW, CGP, FAGPA
Annie Weiss brings 30 years of experience in group leadership and training. She leads 5 psychotherapy groups and 4 consultation groups. She has been on the faculty of NSGP, The Boston Institute for Group Psychotherapy and Boston College and has presented locally and nationally and published articles on various group therapy related topics. She is currently the chair of the Northeastern Society for Group Psychotherapy (NSGP), Group Seminar Leader at McLean Hospital and the Group Consultant for the Brookline Community Mental Health Center where she leads an observed training group. Her work brings wisdom from various models including Psychodynamic Group Theory, Attachment Theory, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Internal Family Systems theory and Modern Analytic theory.
